Traffic has a unique variety of models, ranging from factory made models (Die-cast) to more expensive highly detailed and exclusive handmade models. The last fifteen years Traffic has built up an assortment exclusive models and white metal and / or resin kits (wich can be delivered built too!) that is the most complete in the scale 1:43 in Europe. Because most of these exclusive brands are very small companies the delivery can, in some cases, take some time.
Scales
Traffic specialises in the 1:43 scale, comparable with the famous Dinky Toys passenger cars of the fifties and sixties. Off course we sell all scales imaginable, ranging from the very small 1:166 (less then a centimetre long) to 1:8 or even bigger.
First thing to realize is that the size does not really influence the price. What counts most is the way the model has been made and the amounts it's made in. A factory produces in huge amounts, which reduces the price. These models are called die-cast. Most die-cast is produced in the scales 1:43, 1:24, 1:20 and 1:18. For the enthusiast that wants models of special cars or wants a very high quality, small factories make hand built models. These models are more expensive and often more difficult to get. Most hand built models are in the 1:43 scale. You will find a lot of exclusive models like these in the Traffic database.
